Job Title: Coldfusion Developer

Location: Columbia, SC

Duration: 12 Months

Direct Client Position

Client: State of SC

*Rate: $50/hr on C2C*


Function: Works under general supervision and participates in the design
and development of internet/intranet systems. May work independently or as
a part of a team. May serve as senior technical staff member for assigned
projects. May coach more junior technical staff.


General Characteristics

• Integrally involved in the development and support of all
Internet/Intranet/Extranet sites and supporting systems.

• Works closely with other IT groups and customers to define the system
design and user interface based on customer needs and objectives.

• Participates in all phases of the development and implementation process,
and may act as a project manager on special projects.

• Ensures the integration of the web servers and all other supporting
systems by using message based middleware and interfacing with relational
databases.

• Be knowledgeable of best-practices for building secure web applications.

• Responsible for developing client-side scripting and server-side
application code.

• Extensive knowledge in using programming languages such as Visual Basic,
HTML, XML, Java, and ASP.


Scope of Project: An Internet/Web Engineer is needed to assist the South
Carolina Department of Education’s (SCDE) Offices of Project & Application
Management and Research and Data Analysis. This developer will provide
assistance to the agency in the development of a new report card portal for
the agency’s website. This developer will work under the daily guidance of
the agency’s project manager and web developers on the creation of the new
report card portal. Cold Fusion, Bootstrap, Mura, SQL and CanvasJS will be
the primary development languages / tools used with this project.


Deliverables By Contractor:

Use ColdFusion, Bootstrap, Mura, SQL and CanvasJS to create pages for the
new report card portal.

Design, develop, and deploy any pages as needed for the report card portal.

Adhere to the agency’s development standards currently in place and
document all items written or modified.

Provide weekly status reports to the project manager for the report card
project.

Work will not exceed 40 hours per week. On occasion there may be a need to
exceed the weekly hours at the request of SCDE.

Each week the consultant will report a breakdown of hours spent on the
project.

Participate in regular status meetings with the Director of Research and
Data Analysis, Director of Project & Application Management and members of
the project team.
