*JOB DESCRIPTION:* *SAS Programmer* *Location:* Mossville, IL *Duration:* 12 months *Interview Mode:* Telephonic followed by F2F *Description:* The main function of a SAS Programmer to develop, create, and modify computer applications software or specialized utility programs, utilizing software packages or proprietary software languages including integration tasks for in-house developed systems and/or purchased software solutions. *Job Responsibilities:* · Design, code, test, and debug programs of varying levels of complexity. · Provide guidance and assistance to other team members. · Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design and potential impact while cognizant of time and cost constraints. · Work with vendors on integration of purchased application solutions. · Complex application problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions. · Assist customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts. · Assist more experienced system development/support personnel in developing solutions to customer related requests and/or system problems. *Skills:* · Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. · Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time as well as being a collaborative team member. · Fully knowledgeable of related infrastructure components and/or operating environment. Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. · Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue. High proficiency in a computer software application or functional expertise specifically identified in the assignment requirements. *Education/Experience:* · Bachelor's degree in one of the following: computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent training required. 5-6 years ‘experience required. · Additional requirements include working knowledge of SAS and C. · It is desired for a candidate to be familiar with supply chain and general optimization methods. · Core hours are from 9:00-2:00, otherwise flexible. *Candidate Responsibilities:* · Extracting data as well as developing programs to extract data. · At a desk most of the time working on writing programs to extract data. · Will need to communicate with team members. · Will be responsible for providing inputs that will go into computer modeling of supply chain. *Technical Skills:* · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics required unless has equivalent training. · 3-5 years of programing SAS and C required (needs to be professional experience, internships/projects do not count) is required. · Familiarity with supply chain is highly desired. · Familiarity with general optimization methods is highly desired. *Soft Skills:* · Communication skills. · Patience and persistence. · Ability to work independently.
