Subject: Remedy Developer Location: Houston, TX Duration: 6+ months *Reply Me At [email protected] <[email protected]>* JOB DESCRIPTION The Sr. Remedy Integration Analyst/Developer will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, configuring, and supporting development of Remedy integration and implementation efforts. This will be done in compliance with the information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) V3 framework. Candidate will work with Customers to define and support implementation of new development, integration efforts, and business process solutions to meet customer needs. Candidate will identify, coordinate, and/or perform technical tasks across Remedy Development and Security, Engineering, and Operations organizations. RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to: • Work closely with CBP Customers, Systems Engineering, and Service Delivery Teams to establish business and technical requirements for Remedy efforts. • Produce and execute a plan for implementing required functionality while meeting security mandates. • Recommend robust configuration management procedures, standards, and best practices for using Remedy ITSM capabilities. • Ensure ITSM alignment with ITIL v3 framework. • Clearly communicate Remedy support activities to enhance general awareness of processes and standards being implemented. • Work with external partners and third party suppliers when necessary. • Analyze data discovery options and implementation of data imports to guarantee a proper import and/or transmission of data. • Support design, development, and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating, and maintaining data and relationships to support IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and customer needs. • Maintain precise documentation regarding platform and production support activities. • Enact system audit practices and support/conduct audits to ensure data integrity and security mandates are met. • Develop SQL queries and reports for management on KPIs to improve the process effectiveness, efficiency, and data accuracy. • Working within a team environment, candidate will be expected to work under tight timelines and coordinate activities with several teams while effectively communicating the status and any issues directly to leadership. • Coordinate across technical support groups to effectively analyze and resolve infrastructure and application implementation issues (Proxy processing, load balancing, security certs, SSO, etc.). REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: • Experience in both hardware and software asset and configuration management as well as knowledge of IT service management processes. • Advanced Remedy analytical and development experience in ITSM configuration to include the Service Desk: Incident Module, Asset ManagementModule, Change Management Module, Service Request Module (SRM), and Service Level Management (SLM) module, Atrium, and AR System in v7.6 and above; experience with 9.1 desired. • Advanced skillset in BMC Remedy integration tools as well as prior Remedy upgrade experience. • Strong background and experience with ITIL methodologies (Event, Request, Change, Problem, Incident, SLM/Service Management). • ITIL Foundation v3.0 certification and have applied knowledge of real-world environments in both the Service Management focus area and have integration experience in a customer environment. • Knowledge of MS SQL, query-writing, reporting tools (i.e., Crystal Reports, BIRT, or a similar industry solution) relational databases. • Skilled with DB technologies including Oracle, SQL Server. Comfortable working in an Oracle database environment; at least 2 years of experience in Oracle environment. • CMDB 7.6, 8x, and/or 9 desired experience; should be able to analyze need for, create, and/or customize classes, and understand data and relationships across ITMS applications. • Experience configuring and defining Foundation Data.• Experience working with JavaScript. • Experience working in a Virtual Environment. • Reporting experience with Crystal Reports, BIRT, Yellowfin is desirable. REQUIRED OTHER SKILLS: • Must be task oriented (organized and self-motivated) to deliver excellent customer service. • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written). • Must possess excellent analytic troubleshooting and problem solving competencies. • Candidate should have proven understanding of IT business needs and knowledge of IT industry standard best practices. • Candidate should be able to effectively communicate with the customer to gain necessary data to understand what is needed for integration efforts and support roll out of new functionality.
