*Duration – 12+ Months* Interview - Phone and Inperson *Windows System Engineer. Skilled in automation for hosted applications.* Act as a liaison in meetings with vendors and development groups, bringing an operational perspective to the SDLC and taking away operations deliverables, dates and architecture changes as needed. Involved in deploying, monitoring and supporting solutions that provision hosted applications. Interacting with internal customers supporting external customers, corporate and vendor IT staffs to provide world-class production support. Develop scripts and utilize industry standard tools for Windows system automation. Architect systems using automation for security, while providing scalability, reliability, and performance. Develop and utilize internal strategies for script, code, and automation versioning. Collaborate with developers, vendors and professional service organizations to plan Windows automation strategies for implementing new systems and services. Provide support for operational systems including supporting upgrades and the resolution of production problems in a timely manner. *Required Experience:* 4+ years experience supporting network and security operating systems *Preferred Experience:* Associates degree and/or MCSE certification Minimum 4+ years experience deploying and supporting monitoring solutions in co-located facilities, managed virtual, and in public and private clouds. Minimum 4+ years experience supporting applications in hosted environments. Understanding of deployment tools like Windows Power Shell or SCCM Understanding of provisioning and hypervisor platforms like VMWare to deploy virtual servers. Hands-on experience supporting network infrastructure in larger environments (more than 50 nodes). Experience with Windows patching and virtual machines creation and maintenance. Experience with code versioning, scripts, and industry best practices. Knowledge of with high availability and disaster recovery methods for complex applications deployed in multiple regions. Knowledge of all standard system administrator functions such as server build outs, monitoring, patch/security updates, antivirus, backups, restores, asset management, 24X7 support, pager duty, etc. Unwavering operations and customer focus. Plans, designs, develops, codes and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Responsibilities: Revises and refines systems as required. Participates in the devising of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation. Involved in testing and ongoing support of business systems. Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation.
