Location: Dayton OH *Nature of Work:* Hadoop development and solution design *Top Required Skillsets:* Hadoop, HIVE, and Pig *Role and Responsibility:* - Participate in the definition and implementation of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions using industry and enterprise best practices - Work with application owners to understand and document system requirements and then help define the high-level solution for the application - Ensure the solutions proposed will adhere to standards, operate efficiently, be scalable and completely support the user requirements - Solicit and document requirements for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence applications - Understand CareSource business processes to the degree necessary to effectively and efficiently solicit business requirements; document requirements clearly and completely - Ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance rules are addressed for all reporting requirements - Utilize enterprise standards and practices toward defining a solution to the requirements collected - Understand capabilities of reporting tools to ensure the selection of the proper tool for a given solution - Help to define the underlying data model to most effectively support the solution’s reporting requirements - Effectively communicate requirements and solution to development team members - Work within an iterative approach methodology - Perform any other job related instructions, as requested *Education / Experience:* - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required - Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in producing Data Warehouse and/or Business Intelligence solutions is required - Three to five (3-5) years of experience soliciting and documenting user requirements is required - Healthcare experience is preferred *Required Competencies / Knowledge / Skills:* - A thorough understanding of the capabilities of ETL Tools such as Informatica is required - A thorough understanding of the capabilities of BI Tools such as MicroStrategy and MicroSoft SSRS is required - A thorough understanding of Relational Data Modeling principals is required. Dimensional modeling experience is preferred - Teradata knowledge is preferred - SQL Server knowledge is preferred - SAS experience preferred - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Effective listening and critical thinking skills - Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism - Effective problem solving skills with attention to detail - Ability to work independently and within a team environment - Ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals - Knowledge of managed care preferred - Knowledge of healthcare data coding such as CPT-4, HCPCS, ICD-9, DRG and Revenue Codes is preferred - Experience working with Agile development methodologies is preferred *Licensure / Certification:* - None *Key Decision Rights:* *Accountability:* *Cross Functional Interactions:* *Working Conditions:* - General office environment; may be required to sit/stand for long periods of time Regards: Sam Williams - Recruiting Manager ITBrainiac Inc.
