Required Technical Skills and Experience · Minimum 8 years of experience as an AIX system engineer or administrator. · Experience designing, developing, delivering, and optimizing AIX and dependent applications. · Expert level knowledge and experience with at least one of the following: Power VM, VIO Servers, Live Partition Mobility, and Power VC. · Proven experience with creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting shell scripts. · Advanced knowledge of network virtualization using Power VM, virtual network switches, and VLAN trunking. · Proven experience designing, creating, and maintaining NIM servers. · Experience mentoring and providing consulting services for the purpose of optimizing system performance, effectiveness, and efficiency. · Proven experience delivering computing services within a project management framework. Required Soft Skills and Experience · Proven leadership skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Strong analytical and problem solving skills. · Strong organizational skills. · Proven decision making and critical thinking. · Proven project management skills Desired Skills and Experience · Bachelor’s Degree. · Experience supporting GPFS (IBM Spectrum Scale) and Power VP. · Experience with programing languages, automation scripts, and audit reporting. · Experience supporting vendor delivered software products like FileNet P8 and PeopleSoft HCM. · Experience supporting disaster recovery and business continuity solutions. · Experience working with off shore teams, outsourcers, or managed service providers. · Solid understanding of the principles of capacity planning and performance management in large computing environments. · Extensive experience working within disparate operating systems environments (UNIX, Windows, and z/OS). · Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office, and other productivity tools. · ITIL, AIX, Linux, or related certifications.
