The Director of E-Commerce will work closely in conjunction with key
stakeholders across functional areas in the development and execution of
online marketing strategies. The position requires experience managing the
e-commerce function within a multi-channel company. This individual will be
responsible for providing expert knowledge and insight into business,
measuring and analyzing campaign and product performance, and providing the
management team with regular reporting on business and operational trends.
Additionally, candidate must understand the structure of website and be able
to interface and strategize with IT on development
initiatives including website content and functionality. This position is
accountable for generating revenue, cost targets, customer
acquisition, and driving strategy for current and future internet marketing
initiatives, as part of an integrated multi-channel direct
marketing plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead development and execution of online marketing strategies in alignment
with direct and retail marketing channels to drive revenue and
profitability.
Manage internal and external resources/vendors to meet marketing program
goals, deadlines and revenue/cost goals. Identify
opportunities to increase relevance, increase optimization/conversion, and
attract new customers.
Manage user reviews and generate content implementation.
Apply direct marketing principles and testing discipline to evaluate the
effectiveness of website and internet marketing efforts to
maximize return on marketing investment. Oversee the overall results and
measure the impact of e-commerce strategies and efforts
across the organization, and report outcomes to senior management.
Provide leadership and strategic direction to E-Commerce Direct Marketing
team.
Recommend marketing ideas and programs with the intent to increase on-line
traffic, new customer acquisition, and company
revenues in conjunction with the overall direct marketing plan.
Working with Catalog Direct Marketing and Information Technology, continue
to develop robust email databases to deploy ongoing marketing programs
designed to significantly grow consumer business as well as B2B, and manage
email campaigns.
Manages the department budget based on the business priorities and optimizes
the resources available to meet department financial goals.
Identifies trends, tools and the best applications in the market for the
industry, as well as translates this knowledge and techniques
into new strategies to leverage the activities and increase the use of
website and internet marketing efforts as part of an overall
company direct marketing plan.
Interface with Director of Catalog Marketing and staff to analyze catalog
product performance and direct marketing strategies and
tactics to meet shared company goals.
Collaborate with department leaders: Catalog, Merchandising, Retail,
Creative, Finance, Inventory Planning, Information Technology,
Operations and Call Center, to understand the impact of internet marketing
initiatives on key functional areas.

REQUIREMENTS:
10 years managing and leading e-commerce marketing function in an integrated
multi-channel marketing and database environment.
Direct marketing exposure is preferred. *Candidate should be currently
employed in this capacity with current skill set.
Bachelor's degree required, preferable in marketing, information technology,
business administration or finance.
Site content and copy management experience, including managing and
directing a consumer goods/luxury goods website.
IT interface experience * SQL and .Net familiarity.
Proven track record to improve internet ROI, customer response, retention,
and repurchase rates through a variety of marketing
on-line and offline efforts.
Expertise in website design, development, and deployment, online marketing
strategy, and search engine optimization, including best

practices.
Experience with email strategy, testing, segmentation, deployment and
results analysis.
Experience supervising a staff of two or more.
Experience managing and administering user generated reviews and
incorporating them into the site.
Experience leading a Company*s consumer products/luxury goods web site.
Email campaign management and deployment experience helpful.
Experience with web analytics tools and catalog direct marketing techniques.
Paid search and SEO/SEM experience a plus.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability
to work cross-functionally to get work completed is a key success factor.
