*Position: Windows System Administrator* *Location: Parsippany, NJ* *Duration: 6+ Months* *(LOCAL CANDIDATES HIGHLY PREFERRED)* *Job Description:* Our client, a large, established organization is looking for a Windows System Administrator to join their team in Parsippany, NJ on a contract basis. The contract duration runs through the end of this year. The Windows System Administrator’s role is to manage and tune in-house computer software systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. Responsibilities: * Troubleshoot network systems and respond to issues and or problems. Provide documentation and management reporting. Provide tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects. * Review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs. * Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software and OS related problems. Perform system backups and recovery. Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity. * Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. * Provide user support as required. * Investigate network and security issues and provide recommendations for improvement. * Participate in Business Continuation / Disaster Recovery infrastructure planning, building, and testing. Requirements: ** *Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field and 6 years of experience.10 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. * Experience with Windows server ( 2003, 2008, and 2012 ) platforms. * Experience with Windows Security Configuration and Analysis. McAfee experience is a plus. * Experience with security tools / appliances ( Firewalls, IPS ). * Experience with SAN. * Working knowledge of how to provide support for MS Active Directory, including Windows domain group policies and administration. * Experience with VMware, not just provisioning. * Experience with backup and recovery tools / software. * Ability to effectively communicate with all levels, including non-technical audiences. * Experience with Local Area Network technologies ( Switches, Hubs, Routers, VPN, etc. ) is a plus. * Health Care or Insurance industry experience is a plus. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
