Windows Systems Administrator in Hayward, CA (must be local) Employment Type: Contract or Contract to Hire (Full-Time) Location: Hayward, CA Phone and then onsite *Position Overview:* The Windows Systems Administrator is responsible for establishing/improving appropriate systems methods. This position is also responsible for overseeing the operation of the corporate LAN & WAN. Responsibilities include systems planning and management, local and remote hardware/software installations and patching. *Role and Responsibilities:* - Develops and documents general and detailed system design specifications - Performs operating system installation and performance tuning - Administers and designs storage solutions - Coordinates the testing and implementation of computer systems - Prepares, analyzes, revises, and updates reports to be more useful and efficient, and furnishes reports as necessary - Recommends and implements techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain state-of-the-art practices - Acts within scope of authority and consistent with company objectives, guidelines, policies, and practices - Keeps abreast of current trends and practices in field of expertise - Assists users with questions regarding systems/applications - Updates and maintains reference manuals (internal and otherwise) - Provide day-to-day technology support and general systems management (user/group management, license management, systems configuration, etc.) - Play a key role in establishing and managing ISS/IT policy and procedures - Deploy and manage corporate LAN/WAN infrastructure, voice and data networks, email and messaging systems, and other company infrastructure - Perform routine security and configuration audits - Perform a wide range of system administration duties, including support of corporate enterprise applications, databases, laptops, servers and network equipment - Leverage the internal help-desk support systems and processes to ensure that IT issues impacting employees worldwide are quickly resolved - Proactively oversee the monitoring of all IT devices, applications and services using a combination of tools, including Microsoft SCCM, Splunk, Solarwinds - Manage and troubleshoot networks as well as intranet and internet connectivity throughout the organization - Configure and setup servers and virtual machines - Define, design and implement network communications and solution improvements - Propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system *Qualifications and Education Requirements:* - Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences, MIS or related equivalent experience - 3+ years’ experience managing corporate IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, IIS, Sharepoint - Must have strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, SNMP, Active Directory, SSL, VPN/Cisco Pix, IIS/SMS/WSUS, MS SQL, Windows Server - Experience with MS Server 2008/2010/2012, Exchange 2010/2013, VMWare, Citrix, Cisco,NetApp - Microsoft certification (MCSA or MCSE) - Strong knowledge of VMware/Citrix administration is required - Must be available for on call support of 24x7 operation rotation - Strong ability to work with minimal supervision - Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and debugging skills. - Experience designing and managing servers/networks and various data center technologies - Skilled in data analysis, supplier feedback, action tracking, data presentation and improvement plan using performance data - Excellent customer service, communication and presentation skills - Strong ability to follow written procedures and meeting timelines - Experience in Banking Technology preferred - Strong scripting and automation experience (BASH, PHP,VB, PERL, Python) preferred - Understanding of IT management frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, FCAPS, etc.) a plus *Regards*, Lead Teachnical Recruiter *Stella Ross* 412-238-8594 stella.r...@itbtalent.com Gtalk: stellaross...@gmail.com Linked In: https://www.linkedin.com/in/petrisha-peter-l-i-o-n-106213110 *ITBrainiac.Inc* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
