Position : Functional MS Dynamics AX (Axapta) Location : Scottsdale, AZ Duration : 6 months contract to hire Need us Citizen,Green Card holder or an EAD only Please Microsoft Dynamics Axapta Cost Accountant Responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting of Company inventory, to include analysis of activity, costing and margins there of. In addition, maintaining, developing and further implementation of the inventory accounting within Microsoft Dynamics AX. Running the inventory closes within Dynamics, verifying accuracy, and reconciling to the general ledger, to include research of origination of variances. Audit and reconciliation of the physical inventories and/or cycle counts, to include recommendations for improvement of physical procedures and assistance to Operations in investigating variances. Periodic auditing of time standards to verify accuracy. Calculation of obsolete inventory, to include review of slow moving items and interviews with Operations. Calculation of monthly manufacturing overhead for allocation to inventory. Development and compilation of standard analytical reports for management, and coordination with IT for automation thereof where possible Investigation of variances in hours, labor rates, overhead rate and material costs by coordinating with Production, Human Resources and Materials Management Member of MRP Implementation Team as advisor on matters related to accounting. Assist with development of more timely recording of manufacturing labor and expenses, to provide more timely results in which to manage operations. Maintain all SOX 404 processes applicable to above responsibilities, and assist Operations with theirs. Be a partner to Operations for process improvements based on issues discovered through investigation of variances. Assist Accounting Department in others areas of monthly closes as required, as time permits. Requirements: Requires Bachelors in Accounting; CPA/CMA preferred 2-5 years prior cost accounting experience. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is required. Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal supervision Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
