*DevOps Engineer – Technical Analyst*
This position will provide technical expertise for multiple technologies
and development projects. The position will provide day to day support for
code build/deploy and availability of the SDLC environments. This position
will work closely with the Technical Delivery Manager to ensure a
collaborative and cohesive alignment to Projects and Releases for a
multitude of applications. In addition there will be a focus to implement
Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery standards and documentation to
support the overall SDLC Process.
*Responsibilities*
- Provide expertise in the support of small to moderate size projects
including evaluation of processes and products.
- Serve as a project team member on medium sized technical projects.
- Provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and
complexity requiring evaluation.
- Provide technical and procedural assistance to implementation teams.
- Support development projects through code build/deploy activities.
- Maintain availability of the SDLC environments, resolving and
escalating issues as needed.
- Manage application infrastructure change as required, driven by
release, PLM, performance tuning
- Implement/Engineer CI/CD strategies as defined by the CI/CD architects.
- Continuous process review and improvement to address unacceptable
results.
- Participate in environment infrastructure build out, guided by
Environment Architecture/Design team
- Ability to work with little to moderate supervision
*Basic Qualifications*
- 5-7 years technical experience in Application Development Organization
- 3-5 years of technical experience performing software builds and
Deployments using tools such as, but not limited to:
- CodeHub (SVN, Git)
- Ant, Maven
- Jenkins, AnthillPro
- Xebia Labs (XL Deploy, Release)
- 3-5 years working knowledge in Unix/Linux/Windows OS
- Experience and understanding of Application Infrastructure (servers,
load balancers, web application firewalls)
- Excellent communication skills across an organization
- Experience administering, configuring, installing applications to a
WebSphere, JBOSS, or OpenShift Enterprise environment a plus
*Educaiton*
- Relevant Bachelor's degree; computer science or related field
preferred.
- Qualifications and Specialized Knowledge are critical factors.
*Specialized Knnowledge Required*
- Demonstrated knowledge in Continuous Integration and Delivery
technologies
- Broad practical knowledge of numerous CI/CD technologies
- Strong analytical, project management, decision-making and
communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Knowledgeable in multiple technology areas.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills demonstrating ingenuity and creativity
- Ability to handle multiple and moderately sized assignments
