PostgreSQL or DynamoDB</p> <p>2) Blue/ Green deployment, maintenance tool</p> 
<p>3) 5-7 years DB2 Database Administrator</p> <p>IBM DB2 experience is 
preferred as well as PostgreSQL or DynamoDB. Same level position as the System 
Admin. Devops focus too, like the sysadmin position. Eugene views devops as a 
team that creates an environment where developers can do their job quickly and 
efficiently. </p> <p>Understanding how the db works in those different 
environments. Making the db more safe and efficient. Blue green deployment – 
maintain tool. </p> <p>Active vs backup.</p> <p>Our client is seeking a senior 
level DBA to work on a number of projects with the DevOps team creating an 
environment for the development team to work efficiently and effectively. The 
DBA must understand how the DB works in multiple environments to ensure its 
functions are safe and efficient. The DBA will use the Blue/ Green deployment, 
maintenance tool. An understanding of active versus back up is a must as is 
knowledge of the Big Data, HDFS conundrum.</p> <ul>
<li>Installing and upgrading the database server and application tools</li>
<li>Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the 
database system</li>
<li>Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by 
application developers</li>
<li>Enrolling users and maintaining system security</li>
<li>Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement</li>
<li>Controlling and monitoring user access to the database</li>
<li>Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database</li>
<li>Planning for backup and recovery of database information</li>
<li>Maintaining archived data</li>
<li>Backing up and restoring databases</li>
<li>Contacting database vendor for technical support</li>
<li>Generating various reports by querying from database as per need</li>
</ul> <p><strong>Qualifications-</strong></p> <ul>
<li>5-7 years of experience working as DB2 Database Administrator</li>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, 
related field or equivalent experience</li>
<li>Experience in DB2 Databases</li>
<li>Experience PostgeSQL or Dynamo DB</li>
<li>Experience with Linux, Solaris and other UNIX operating systems</li>
