*Job Description:*
Role/responsibilities:
- Accountable for deploying the EMC VNX solution, designing the tiers
and pools based on industry standards
- Expertise in Configuring domains, SANs & zones
- Propose and define seamless migration methodologies , procedures,
standards for storage migration
- Create high level and low level waves and migration groups for virtual
and physical infrastructure
- Perform System integration activities like migration of storage from
IBM XIV to newly deployed EMC VNX8000 solution using IBM SVC solution
- Complete the entire migration and secure sign-off
- Perform architectural designs (High & Low Level) and document
configurations
- Strategic & Operational Technology Planning
- Effort estimation/reviews on need basis
- Strong knowledge on EMC VNX, IBM XIV , SVC & Migration techniques
(Lift & Shift, Phased, Big bang, etc..)
- Solid knowledge of infrastructure principles and practices
- Develop robust documentation
- H/W troubleshooting & Vendor coordination
*Must haves:*
- Certified EMC specialist
- Expert in EMC VNX, IBM XIV, SVC
- Good knowledge of Wintel Platform (Windows Server Operating Systems,
Failover clustering Solutions, File & Print Servers , AD VMware )
- Good knowledge in Server & App Virtualization technologies (VMware,
Citrix)
- Design & Migration of Storage Technologies
- Well versed with latest industry trends in the specific function
- Knowledge in other domains such as Backup, Database, and network
