Leadership may also extend to applications using advanced analytic tools and technologies. Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to junior members of the Big Data development team. Manage and deliver the necessary solutions, software modules and code for assigned projects. Instantiate systems and code modules from architecture and business modeling standards for the company including class diagrams, data models, business domain models, sequence diagrams, use case models, collaboration diagrams *Duties:* A hands on computer scientists at heart with a total 8+ Years’ experience of Software Development Must have a minimum 3 years of solid experience in Java and Big Data technologies such as Spark, Scala, Hive, Maven/SBT, Map/Reduce, Amazon S3 Highly Desirable - Experience in REST/services and Big Data technologies such as Oozie, Sqoop, Kafka, Hadoop Amazon EMR distribution, Python, PIG, Redshift, HBase Big Plus - Experience in Apache Phoenix, Text Search (Solr, ElasticSearch, CloudSearch), AWS databases (Redshift, Dynamo, EMR), Impala, VoltDB, MemSQL Must have experience architecting solutions in AWS based cloud deployments of big data platforms Should have level understanding of Spring Framework - Should have knowledge and understanding of OOAD (UML) constructs/language (Class Diagram, Sequence Diagram etc.) and Java/J2EE design patterns.
