*Need Cognos 10 Business Intelligence Developer, Need EAD-GC,GC And USC.* Position: Cognos 10 Business Intelligence Developer Location:Birmingham, AL Duration: 3+ Months Position Description: Business Intelligence Analyst will lead the design and development of Business Intelligence and analytic solutions. The Person will be collaborating with business stakeholders and other Technology areas to analyze pros and cons in order to determine requirements to architect, design, develop, test, and implement a Reporting Solution. Responsibilities: Applies architectural/engineering concepts to design a robust analytical solution that meets requirements. The candidate will be required to Act as Technical Lead of more junior consultants and developers. Participates and leads research and development efforts (proofs of concept, prototypes). Working extensively with business users to understand their data needs and add value to their processes through Business Intelligence. Determine a long term Reporting solution and innovative on ways to get access to data. Develop well-formed report / data requirements based on the needs of internal clients. Document data requirements for reports against data sources. Manage an inventory of reports and report documentation. Manage data dictionary of dimensions and metrics. Bring structure to ambiguous business problems and recommend visualization solutions that can be easily interpreted by users Serve as the graphical user interface subject matter expert using existing BI tools capabilities as well as future enhancements as they become available to improve our business intelligence offerings Collaborate with the understanding of source data and logic around reports. Troubleshooting data issues and conducting root cause analysis when reporting data is in question. Train end users in use of reports. Required Knowledge/Skills: Cognos 10 Business Intelligence Suite. PL/SQL Advance Expertise. Database and Data Warehousing fundamentals. Experience with Data Modeling tools and techniques. Hands on work with schema design and definition in a data warehouse environment Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other Technology and Business areas. Accurate and detail oriented documentation. Ability to create reporting solutions and not just individual reports. Strong flexible interpersonal communication with clear and articulate speech. Ability to lead tasks and contribute to multiple projects at the same time.
