Role: Business Analyst with Health Location:Little Rock, AR 72202 Duration: 8 Months The Data Analytics Manager is the MMIS data interface subject matter expert supporting the transition from the legacy MMIS system and providing ongoing data interface support within the new AME MMIS including maintaining MMIS system interface documentation, providing data analytics and analytical reporting support and managing technical projects as needed. Typical Functions Ensures MMIS data interfaces support and adhere to MITA standards Functions as a Business System Analyst soliciting and documenting user requirements Owns MMIS Data Governance Works across divisions to champion MMIS Master Data Management efforts PIdentifies, documents and manages Business Process Improvement efforts erforms IT project management on projects as assigned Ensures adherence to quality standards, and tracks and reviews project deliveries Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Knowledge of organizational and human resource management Operational knowledge of complex IT systems computer systems including mainframe (COBOL, CICS) and relational database management systems Knowledge of complex data base and data processing software specifically Oracle, Cognos and Tableau Knowledge of LSS best practices Ability to provide data analytics expertise in the evaluation of new data analytics tools coaching and training of division resources the use of existing tools Ability to conduct root cause analytics and document results to determine the source of problems and recommend corrective actions Ability to coordinate and communicate within the division and across vendors regarding change management best practices and methodologies Ability to create, read, negotiate, and interpret vendor contracts, performance indicators and agreements Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community Ability to prepare and present information orally and in writing Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and create solutions Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form with several abstract and concrete variables Minimum Education and/or Experience The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; plus ten years of related experience, including seven years of data analysis experience, seven years of project management experience, seven years SDLC experience, three years’ experience managing IT projects within a COBOL/CICS environment, five years of relational database management experience, three years of management experience and one year Arkansas state MMIS experience.
