Our client a New York Based leading consumer products retailer, is seeking
an enthusiastic, senior level Software Engineer to join their bright and
talented team to work with current software libraries and a client
JavaScript application extending their customized web browser with custom
API’s focused on C++.
The *Software Development Engineer* is primarily responsible for C++
application development on a new consumer product rollout. This state of
the art product faces several competitors but none that provide the content,
accessibility and services at this level.

- You are a talented, detail, oriented and enthusiastic *Software* *
Development* *Engineer* who is passionate about quality and is
enthusiastic about the new cutting edge technology offered to consumers.
- You possess exceptional skills and can communicate effectively with
peers and non-technical cohorts.
- You are interested in developing next generation operating systems for
a variety of devices including mobile and home platforms.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit, know how to deliver results, and
are deeply technical, highly innovative and long for the opportunity to
build pioneering solutions to challenging problems.
*Ideal candidates will have:*
- 3+ years of application development, and/or software engineering
experience
- Strong Core C++ programming on Windows Platform
- Strong Development and Design/Architecture skills
- Win32 Framework SDK with WTL (Windows Template Library)
experience.
- Web Browser Architecture/Development Skills are a huge Plus.
- 3+ yrs of object oriented development; unit testing and regression
testing; version control practices.
- Understanding of web browsers
- Ability to convey technical concepts to a broad audience
- Detail and process oriented
- Excellent communication skills
*Education:* A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals (based on a
BS or MS in CS or related field) Client prefers a Bachelors of Science in
Computer Science but will consider other 4 year degrees from fully
accredited colleges or universities.
- All Candidates Must Possess Unlimited US Work Authorization.
- Local candidates are strongly preferred. (No reimbursement for
interview travel costs).
