*Position – IOS Developer*
*Location: Atlanta, GA*
*Duration: 6+ months*
*Essential Job Function:*
*Responsibilities:*
*A.** Support the Conversion of HA Paper Field Procedures (pFP) into
Digital Field Procedures (eFP). *
1. Using the paper Field Procedures (pFP) create a word document
which provides guidance/instructions to the contractor who will create the
eFP.
2. Review word documents created by the eFP contractor and revise
as necessary prior to the eFP Contractor’s creation of eFPs.
3. Install the draft eFPs onto a mobile device (iPAD) and verify
that the programming provided by the eFP Contractor matches that specified
in Steps 1 or 2.
4. As required, provide instructions or corrections in the word
document to allow the eFP contractor to update the eFP.
*B.** Support the creation of HA Field Procedures for new equipment codes
directly into the eFP Format. *
1. Using the available technical information (drawings, manuals
etc.) and associated systems directly into new eFPs
2. Review published Field Procedures (pFPs and eFPs) and compare
their content with the configuration and maintenance activities equipment
for which the new eFP which is to be created.
3. Discuss the differences with one of the GE Technical Leaders
do determine if new Field Procedure is required or if an existing pFP/eFP
and be modified.
*C. Support the Revising of “HA” pFPs and eFPs. *
1. Revise existing HA pFPs and eFPs as instructed using the
processes described above.
*D. Support the Creation of “HA” Inspection Forms *
1. Create HA Inspection forms for the capturing of specific analog
and digital data using similar existing forms as a template.
If an Inspection format is created the Inspection forms will be created
using the new format.
*Required Skills & Experience Levels:*
•Familiarization with HTML formatting and coding to be able to convert a
published technical document in PDF or DOC format to an HTML friendly
version.
•Familiarity with iOS to be able to conduct user acceptance testing of the
converted document once in HTML format and put into an iOS APP.
•Experience working with technical documents or technical document
creation.
•Ability to read engineering drawings, preferably GE engineering drawings.
*Desired Skills: *
Initiative to dig into GE systems to get needed documentation for
electronic field procedure creation.
*Other Details:*
First phase is work-flow management of the conversion of paper procedures
to HTML format. Second phase later in the year will be using a new tool to
create new electronic procedures starting with “similar procedures”
converted during phase 1.
