Title: Enterprise Architect - Human Factors/ Usability
Location: Austin, TX
A. Responsible for translating the client’s business requirements
into user interface applications recommendations for very large
complex technical solutions.
B. Primary expert to analyze, assess customer service
requirements and has expert working level knowledge of the processes,
technologies, and people components involved in the services arena.
C. Maintains and utilizes industry best practices for human
factors, usability, user-centered design including usability,
globalization, branding, accessibility, styles appropriate for client
user set.
D. Constructs risk assessments and corresponding remediation
plans relative to complex services proposals.
E. Composes Summary of Work Results or other documents, using
departmental automation tools as available, to craft detailed and
accurate deliverables that specify remediation approach for proposed
services solutions.
F. Provides a "trusted expert advisor" role as a Subject Matter
Expert for technical services, to both internal and external
customers, ranging from formal advice to internal and external
customer presentations.
G. Follow all organizational Standard Operating
H. Other duties as assigned.
Duration :- May 1, 2010 and are expected to be completed by August 31,
2010
II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
7 Expertise in human factor design and development, Masters in
cognitive psychology, psychology, usability engineering or other
related field
7 Experience applying UI Guidelines and Standards
5 Experience in collecting and analyzing information about the impact
of user-centered design processes on the business performance of
organizations.
5 Experience in performing customer interviews and profiles to assess
the skill set, expected behaviors, and strengths/weaknesses of the
people who will be utilizing the end result/software system/”product”.
5 Experience conducting usability testing with users to ascertain how
system works with users and to assess problem areas, insure the target
user audience can use the product efficiently/effectively, identify
areas design is unclear, difficult to use, or inappropriate for users’
needs/goals/skills.
5 Experience in the application of factors that contribute to
usability, quality, and market fit.
5 Experience in usability professional activities including, but not
limited to Competitive Analysis, Contextual Interviews, Expert Review
or Usability Analysis, Heuristic Evaluations, Flow Diagrams, Focus
Groups, Information Architecture/Navigation Design, Interviews,
Personas, Prototypes, Surveys - In Person and Online, Task Analysis,
Usability Testing – Laboratory, Usability Testing – Remote, Wireframes
3 Java-based development environment (portals, JSP, JSF)
Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
PhD in cognitive psychology, psychology, usability engineering or
other related
