*Senior Claims Business Analyst*
*Location - Charlotte, NC *
*Duration - 7 months **The Senior Claims Business Analyst is the lead
translational expert on Claims and Revenue Cycle system data*
- *They want a Business Analyst who REALLY understands the financial
side of the claims process. They want them to understand revenue cycles
inside and out. They are going to want someone who has deep skills in
financial data analysis*
- *Must have extensive experience with* the financial side of claims
- This BA will have a lot of long term opportunity at Premier as they
work to build a innovative new product to do financial data analysis for
their member hospitals.
- The are open to people not currently residing in Charlotte, *but they
need to be willing to drive or fly into Charlotte for an onsite interview.*
- He prefers this to be contract to perm, but this can be contract only
as well if it's a really strong candidate

The skills/experience that are most important are:
1) Experience working with claims data (including but not limited to
Preadjudicated, Post-Adjudicated Claims, CMS Claims and Claims Line Feed
(CCLF) files)
a. Experience in working in with Revenue Cycle System or
Practice Management systems from the health care system perspective is a
requirement (not from the payer side).
b. Experience needs to be preferably from the provider side
(not the Payor side)
c. Experience with Institutional and Professional Billing
2) Must demonstrate knowledge of healthcare workflows and how it impacts
the revenue cycle or practice management systems
3) Clarity of Thought and Excellence in Communication.
4) Ability to compose functional requirement documents and summarize
them for the analytics and engineering teams.
5) Self-directed, self-starter: a person with initiative and
problem-solving skills
6) Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
*Candidate needs to live in Charlotte, NC and we need to do in person
interviews.*
The Business Analyst is accountable for writing functional requirements
for the data integration team across multiple subject areas. The person
filling this position should have a strong understanding of healthcare data
across a spectrum including strong knowledge in the billing, claims and GL
domain
This position is responsible for collaborating directly with multiple
groups including but not limited to Product Management, Development, QA,
External Customer(s), internal business stakeholders to thoroughly
understand both the customer data and how the data flows into the warehouse
to meet customer use case analytics.
This person will interface directly with the Product Director to
determine priorities as well as members of the following teams –
Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Analysts, BI Developers and Member
Operations.
Minimum Requirements:
a. Bachelor’s degree: Area of study in information systems,
healthcare administration, clinical operation, or related discipline.
b. 5+ years of experience: Business analysis, requirements
analysis and management, program management, agile development methodology.
