*JOB SUMMARY The Healthcare Data Analytics lead is a Player/Coach and is
responsible for Dovetail’s analytic efforts. This work includes: •
Identifying, through analytic methods, the patients most appropriate for
our clinical interventions • Direct client interaction on outcomes
reporting that shows the resulting benefits of our interventions through
improved patient health and lower healthcare costs. • Leading the ongoing
improvement process around consuming and analyzing client data such as
medical and pharmacy claims, ROI modeling and analysis and data synthesis
to assess program outcomes This candidate will report to the General
Manager, and provide guidance and direction to other members of the
Analytics team to design reports and analyze operational and outcomes data,
and may be asked to contribute subject matter expertise to the ongoing
development of the data warehouse. This person will also present results to
internal stakeholders, as well as existing and future clients. The
successful candidate will be working alongside a small team of analysts,
and assist with defining and prioritizing the strategic and tactical tasks
for the Analytics team. *
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead the development and prioritization of both
existing and improved reporting processes and procedures • Provide strategy
for data analytics and collection that will increase our ability to improve
patient outcomes • Design, develop, interpret and present key internal
business operational metrics reporting • Design, develop, interpret and
present post-intervention outcomes reports for client and internal use •
Provide on-going analysis and recommendations for improvement of Dovetail’s
operations and clinical interventions • Contribute to the development and
implementation of publication plan • Oversee report development needs
including prioritization • Conduct on-going refinement of the risk
stratification patient selection process EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & SKILLS -
The Healthcare Data Analytics Lead should have a minimum of 10 years of
experience in the healthcare industry, with some experience in the
commercial sector. Supervisory experience a plus - Be comfortable
presenting to all levels, with the ability to translate statistical and
analytic terms into business language. - Understanding business impact is
critical to improving our internal processes and seeking to maximize the
ROI for our customers. - The ideal candidate will have an appropriate
educational background, preferably with an advanced degree. - Strong
knowledge of analytic, technical and reporting tools such as SAS, SQL, DST
CareAnalyzer (or equivalent), SSRS, Crystal Reports or other report writing
tools is important. - A thorough understanding of statistical methods is
required. - The ability to working in a fast-paced, collaborative team
environment is important. - The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, and
will strive to help others be successful. - This person has the drive to
leverage past experience, current and future trends to maximize
opportunities to improve health care delivery through innovation.
Interviews will be face to face with HM, Director and a member of the
clinical team, that will be a close working partner. Will have combination
of phone and face to face. Hours will be business hours.*
