*Job Description*
- The client's Platform Development team needs an experienced, effective
software developer with a history of designing and building successful
customer facing solutions.
- You can work in a demanding and exciting environment that is creative
and flexible, but still detail oriented and absolutely vital to the success
and strength of the company.
- As a Senior Software Developer for our client, you will be responsible
for creating and updating customer and internal applications using latest
generation web and information technologies, including HTML 5, Aurelia,
Durandal, Knockout, Elastic Search, SOLR, Mongo, Web Api 2.x, Sql 2014, and
C# over .Net framework 4.6x.
*Responsibilities*
- Develop enhancements and integrations to our existing platform.
- Collaborate with architect for design and development of new projects.
- Assist in refining and documenting requirements.
- Work with third party vendors to develop standardized integration
architecture.
- Understand and follow business rule directives to ensure developed
software is consistent with the business rules models and business
strategy.
- Implementing high-level requirements and to produce robust solutions,
within predefined timelines, and scope limitations.
- Participate in customer support processes.
- Design and code all aspects of solutions based on the Microsoft .Net
platform using company established practices and patterns.
- Provide training on coding standards and practices to team members.
- Produce high quality, tested and documented code.
*Requirements*
- Must have excellent application development skills and proven track
record delivering well designed and complex solutions.
- Demonstrated expertise in a variety of application development,
technology concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Must have proven advanced experience using and migrating to leading
technologies.
- Demonstrate advanced experience with object oriented design and
development techniques using Microsoft technologies and Service Oriented
Architecture principles.
- Experience with and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
Methodologies Waterfall and Agile.
- Must be able to quickly establish trust and credibility within the
application development staff.
- Must have passion for their work.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent technical development and design skills and be
able to mentor others to improve their skills.
- Proven track record of effectively delivering results in a fast paced,
flexible environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Professional-level experience in developing with:
- C#, .Net 3.5, 4.5x, 4.6x
- ASP.NET MVC
- jQuery, JSON
- JavaScript libraries like Aurelia, Durandal, Knockout, AngularJS,
- Web UI technologies like CSS, HTML5, Bootstrap
- Asynchronous, Multi-threaded programming
- Sql Query and Stored Procedure creation and optimization
- Additional nice to haves include:
- Search Engine Integration experience
- Linux systems configuration and server management experience
- WCF
- WPF
- Service Oriented Architecture design experience.
- Content Management System / Digital Asset Management.
- Demonstrated ability/creativity solving technology problems.
- Must be a self-starter with proven experience accomplishing goals
within a collaborative environment.
- Proven understanding of OOAD, design patterns, and application
development processes and practices with focus on reusability,
extensibility, and performance.
- Solid understanding of software development environments, source
control techniques, and continuous integration.
- 10+ years professional C# software development experience.
- 7+ years experience designing application solutions.
- Search Engine experience a plus.
- NoSQL experience/knowledge a plus.
- Event queue experience a plus.
- Experience with DRM/encryption packages a plus.
- Mobile applications a plus.
*Preferred*
- 10+ years professional IT experience desired.
