*Job Title     :   Technical Project Manager
Location    :   Chandler, AZ
Duration    :    6+Months
Rate            :    $50/Hr*

Manage 9-10 medium projects concurrently. Experience in full life-cycle
management of application/operating system/middleware infrastructure
support, application deployment and or application deployment with
supporting hardware in a five-tier distributed environment using the UNIX,
Linux, or Windows operating systems. Use of standard PMI (PMBOK) based
project methodologies required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Project and
Office.  Knowledge of Remedy and Planview a plus. Combination of education and
work experience typically equivalent to a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years
technical project management experience. PMI certification preferred.

This is a very technical project management and infrastructure coordination
role for the server hardware infrastructure environments for the Community
Infrastructure Management (CIM) group.

- Some of the daily work products are:
- Coordinating and imitating work orders for the hardware build engineers to
work on various support efforts that are requested by
the application groups. (Using their particular system      application for
forms/escalation/approvals)
- Opening enhancement and/or new hardware server projects for business
applications. (Using their project tracking application for identifying the
scope of the project, members of the  project team,  approvals, costs,
timelines, etc.)
- Coordinating the cost and resource sizing requirements for the enhanced /
new project.  (Using their form and approval cycles).
- Managing the Hardware installation project lifecycle, by coordinating
meetings, providing issue escalation, etc.
- Facilitating the meetings for hardware installation / changes to the
infrastructure.
- Knowledge of server hardware (SUN w/Solaris, egenera w/Redhat Linux,  IBM
blades w/W2K or W2K3, clustering methodologies, load balancers, etc.) is
required.
- Knowledge of how these hardware items are configured and used - this
especially comes in handy when attempting to get sizing.- Knowledge of
production data center operations, particularly the hardware / web areas.
- Other:  flexibility to work any time of the day or night 7 days per week
for supporting installs and problem calls.
