Exact Start Date: targeting 5/10 Length of contract assignment 4 months Project Description: Client is implementing a new SOA architecture approach and there is a mandatory requirement to be 5010 HIPPA compliant by the end of 2012. This combination has created a very large and complex Test Data requirement. In addition, they are moving to Agile and this further raises the bar because the timeframes are compressed and creates the need for just-in-time data provisioning that supports continuous integration testing. Day to day responsibilities: The Consultant has the responsibility to design the Test Data Architectures in the Enterprise integrating data from different Data Sources. The responsibility includes the creation and management of test data needed by Development, QA and Load and Performance groups. The work includes: · Evaluation and implementation of tools needed for data creation, data mining, data storage, data protection, data deployment · Gather data requirements from the different groups for all the projects in the IT portfolio · Work with the business users, architects, Developers and QA to understand the data flow and the data needs · Provide support to QA and development teams during the duration of the SDLC for the projects to make sure that data requests are met satisfactory, completely and on a timely fashion · Work with other areas in IT and with the Business to understand the business relations from a data perspective, to implement tactical and strategic solution for data creation, mining, deployment to different environments · Maintain gold copies and databases that store test data to be re-used in multiple test cycles ***The position requires a strong Database knowledge and good project management skills, as well as experience in large enterprise data. It is hands-on and can include supervision of junior DBA.
