They also monitor, identify and resolve system infrastructure problems. Additionally, they are responsible for technical infrastructure projects. This position could be in multiple US locations. Location: Arkansas Duration: 12 months Rate: 50-55/Hr Role: Network Admin/JBOSS Admin Responsibilities include: Install, Configure and Administrate JBoss, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, ServiceMix ESB, Fuse ESB, Axis, and/or MS IIS. Ability to work closely with network engineers, database administrators, security admins/analysts, LDAP administrators, Unix/Intel admins, M/F teams, storage teams, monitoring teams, etc. to design, implement and support the infrastructure required for robust, high performance web sites for a major client. Review various system logs (web server, application server, etc.) on multiple platforms (Linux and Windows) to determine root cause of problems and performance issues. Understand the functionality and operation of web servers and application servers. Understand, recommend and implement best practices for web and application server environments. Provide operational administration and support of over 500 servers consisting of primarily Linux and Windows. Some Sun and some HP/UX. Provide technical vision including adoption of standards, open source (JBoss, ServiceMix ESB, Fuse ESB, Axis, Tomcat, Apache HTTP, etc.). Communicating the architecture and maintenance process to its users. This includes providing clear documentation. Work with application teams to troubleshoot production issues including memory leaks, performance tuning etc. Participate in triage calls to troubleshoot issues. Ability to work alone and implement technical changes during defined maintenance windows. Providing 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis. Fluent English language and reading/writing skills. Flexible with time – possible secondary shift. Self-motivator and a strong work ethic. Required Skills: Infrastructure, Networking, Storage & Operations: Jboss Operations Network a plus, BigIP F5 experience a plus. Server and O/S: RedHat Linux Version 4, Windows 200x, HP/UX and/or Sun. Runtime software: JBoss 4.0.5 Application Server, Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP, Fuse ESB a plus, BDE FTP a plus, Savvion a plus, IBM WebSphere MQ a plus, Apache ServiceMix a plus.
