Please send me your resume across [email protected] ASAP. *Role: WebSphere Admin/Engineer* *Rate: $45 hr C2C* *Date resource is required: 06/01/2010* *Anticipated end date: 09/30/2011* *Location: Charlotte, NC * *preferably within financial management organization* * * Line of Business: TIG - Information Services Job Classification: Apps Systems Engineer Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree and 7+ years *WebSphere Job Description* Administer all aspects of the WebSphere, application server environment, displaying ownership and technical proficiency Perform administration tasks required to support application development, deployment, integration, QA and production processes Install, configure and administer servers, including multiple server instances, standalone, clusters, connection pools, plug-ins and JDBC drivers Implement patches, updates, and fixes as necessary following established Change Management processes Develop scripts/utilities to automate repetitive tasks, i.e. backups, refreshes, failover Utilize a working knowledge of J2EE and Java development to troubleshoot technical issues, i.e. error messages, software bugs, availability, etc. Define common processes and procedures to ensure server stability, performance and availability Define thresholds for monitoring various metrics of the application server environment Participate in the planning and design of the application server architecture to support business goals Provide technical expertise to development and deployment teams on integration/configuration of WebSphere Application Server including permission management, LDAP, database, middleware and web servers. Provide input to and follow standards and best practices as defined by standardized teams Work with various team members to provide 24x7 production support. Carry a Pager on-rotation schedule. Respond to support tickets and provide timely resolution of problems Participate effectively in execution of projects to support development, integration, production and infrastructure deliverables. *Position Requirements:* * * BA/BS/MS in a related technical field; or the equivalent in education and work experience At least 7 years experience in Information Technology with demonstrable competence in an engineering role supporting WebSphere Application Server in a heterogeneous enterprise environment, preferably within financial management organization *3 to 5 years WebSphere experience. * * 5 years of Linux and Unix (any flavor) experience.* Strong understanding and demonstrated knowledge of Apache Web Server configurations, tuning parameters, and related integrations with all Application Server instances Strong track record supporting large and complex application delivery and development teams Platform and Skill Set Expertise: Middleware : WebSphere Shailaja Aim Computer Consulting N.
