Location: Richmond, VA Length: 12/31/2010 Rate: $37/hr *Candidates with strong analytical SQL skills and SQL Server experience, but this is NOT a DBA/DB developer role. Required experience is 3+ years.* *Primary Skill Requirement: * Business Process Analysis, Detailed Data Analysis, SQL *Project Description:* Responsible for using standard procedures and processes to gather, format and load metadata under minimum supervision. Designs/constructs medium to difficult repository architectural changes and creates and maintains architectural specification documentation. Troubleshoots medium to difficult metadata repository problems with help from others. Designs and constructs medium to difficult metadata reports and conducts metadata quality reviews. Conducts implementation, upgrade and maintenance of vendor supplied metadata management, master data management and information quality software and other third party software. Collects, clean, catalogs, maintains and delivers master data with minimal guidance and supervision. Performs system administration duties with little supervision. Performs data profiling analysis and data quality analysis with guidance and supervision. Communicates with, trains and mentors junior associates. Responsible for assisting in defining and managing the project requirements for integration projects. Essential duties to include, but are not limited to: Assists in the definition of the functional, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system, and acts as a liaison between the application development and data warehousing team. Assists with system requirements definition, design, testing, training and implementation support. Applies use of tools to define requirements and documentation. Facilitates the identification of potential gaps in available data and collaborates with both teams to determine best means for acquiring the data needed. Performs other duties as assigned. *Skills:* • BA/BS in computer science or information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience. • 5+ years experience in information systems and 3+ years experience in data administration; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. • Analytical, communication and planning skills required. • 3+ years experience as a BSA and data analyst • Excellent analytical, PC and problem solving skills • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills • Excellent Time Management Skills • Must be a self-starter and able to hit the ground running • Experience in SQL strongly preferred • Experience with SQL Server 2005 a plus but not required. • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts strongly desired. __._,_.___ Thanks & Regards sandi Recruiter G Technologies Inc. 4340 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, CA 95129.
