Our Direct Client in MD looking for SAS Consultant. We also require Proposed Work Plan from the consultant outlining tasks and work effort either in Excel or Microsoft Project format. This position is in Baltimore, MD. Position: SAS Consultant Department: Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Duration: 200 hours Place of Performance: Baltimore MD Required Education & Experience: 1. Master’s Degree, or equivalent 24 credit hours of post-baccalaureate course work from an accredited college or university, with 6 credits in statistical analysis, 2. At least two years experience in performing statistical analysis, 3. At least two years experience using SAS for data management and analysis; 4. At least two years experience creating and processing large SAS data sets, 5. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing Desired qualifications are: 1. Education data analysis experience, and 2. Background in K12 education. Work to be performed: 1. Design student matching data strategies and statistical analyses, 2. Develop using SAS student matching algorithms and matches data from K12 and Post-secondary sources, 3. Document the student matching algorithms and procedures, 4. Create and manage large data sets, 5. Analyze and reconcile unmatched data, 6. Develop and maintain SAS databases supporting student matching data activities, 7. Create and edit SAS programs to perform logical edits in order to rectify data inconsistencies and anomalies, 8. Interpret and summarize analyses, and write reports, 9. Consult with program managers regarding data acquisition and analysis, requirements, 10.
