Need people ASAP* Must have strong Development and DBA skills!! *Must interview in –person after phone interview in TX or AZ. * Position: Systems Engineer (*SQL Server Developer / DBA in the (65-35 ratio) *** Rate: $ 50.00 Term: 6 months+ contract Location: Tempe, AZ *or* Dallas, TX * Detailed Job Description*: *** * ** *Primary Objective:* Assist in the analysis, design, programming, testing, and documentation as required to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the Company’s systems/applications. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* • Responsible to the project office managers for delivery on commitments within project task assignments. • Provide system-level support for computer systems/business applications with minor to moderate scope and complexity. • Record, track, communicate, and document resolutions of client issues by means of a defect reporting database software. • Participate in the analysis of client project proposals; identifies potential problem areas, and recommends optimum approaches for project path, utilizing specific area of technical expertise. • Develop technical documentation for training, software/hardware use, user procedures, and project deliverables. • Follow best practices, methods, standards, and processes. • Participate in process improvement efforts and other cross-functional teams. • Define and validate project deliverables. *Position Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* • Create, deploy and support SSIS packages. • Perform Database Administration including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SQL databases. • Perform database system capacity planning and capacity monitoring. • Calculate optimum values for database systems such as amount of server memory, number of processors, layout of physical disks and database file layouts on disk for instances hosted on both physical and virtual hardware. • Review and implement database-related changes following established change management and release management procedures. • Review database schema, objects and data scripts written by others and provide feedback. • Manage the creation and versioning of SQL-based code using approved source control tools through the software development lifecycle procedures. • Design and implement database security controls. Use proper auditing procedures to maintain integrity of enterprise database systems. *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* * * *• Must be proficient in **SSIS** package development and troubleshooting.* • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database management systems is required. • Proficiency with SQL 2005 and/or SQL 2008 versions is required. • Must be able to effectively communicate ideas verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Excellent problem detection and resolution skills with MS SQL database systems are necessary. • Proficiency in T-SQL is necessary. • Proficiency with database query optimization is a plus. • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Transactional and Merge Replication is preferred. • Proficiency with Visual Studio is a plus. • *SSRS* Report (SQL Server Reporting Services) experience is a big Plus. • Familiarity with databases utilizing SAN-based storage management systems, clustering and other high-availability technologies is preferred. • Familiarity with the virtualization of SQL servers (VMWare) is desired. *Education and Experience:* • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Information Systems utilizing Microsoft SQL Server *Role # 2:* Senior WMQ/WMB Consultant Detroit, MI 6 Months contract + extensions Rate: $50/hr C2C * * *REQUIRED (All skills must)* - Spring MVC - Spring Integration - DB2 - JDBC - MQ Broker - Ability to train/mentor Junior Staff members - Communication and Organizational Skills - Decision Analysis Capabilities - Highly Self-Driven and Self-Motivated * PREFERRED:* Strong in use of Lotus Notes Email and databases -- Regards Santosh Delight Consulting Services LLC. 2565 S.
