* Role : *DB2 DBA *Rate* : 48.00 *Duration:* 6 + Months *Location:* MICHIGAN *Position Description: * * * Responsibilities will include: * Provide assistance to DA in application table design * Provide on-call support * Define and set-up database utilities * Gather information for corrective actions to maintain database performance and efficiency * Assist in identifying and resolving database problems * Process requests for modifications to existing database structures *Skills Required: * Minimum of 6+ years working in IT with * 5+ years with DB2 * 3-5 years performing DB2 DBA application functions * 3-5 years working with DB2 utilities (IBM, BMC, or CA) (reorg, image copy, etc) * 1-2 years working with version 7-9 of mainframe DB2 software * 1-2 years database design experience * 5-7 years working on mainframe * Use of Omegamon for DB2 * 1-2 years of tuning SQL * 2-3 Years IMS DB and DC. *Experience Required: * * * Minimum of 6+ years working in IT with * 5+ years with DB2 * 3-5 years performing DB2 DBA application functions * 3-5 years working with DB2 utilities (IBM, BMC, or CA) (reorg, image copy, etc) * 1-2 years working with version 7-9 of mainframe DB2 software * 1-2 years database design experience * 5-7 years working on mainframe * Use of Omegamon for DB2 * 1-2 years of tuning SQL * 2-3 Years IMS DB and DC. *Experience Preferred: * * * 3-5 years Mainframe DB2 experience * Working in a Distributed environment * Websphere * DB2 Connect * IBM utilities (IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, etc) * CLIST, Dialog Manager, and REXX * JCL * Mobius * EJES * Dump reading (with and without abend-aid) * File-Aid * experience with parallel sysplex * Able to work independently * Work with other DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server) May be required to work weekends, off hours, holidays and carry a pager. *Regards Santosh Delight Consulting Services LLC.
