*Job Title - Architecture Sr Specialist * *Location – PA* *Duration – 6 months* *Rate - 57/hr* *Position - 1* *Duties Hands-on,* technical lead for a large-scale *SQL Server migration from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2008* for a business critical solution. . Review existing system requirements and design documentation and identify any potential gaps . Communicate effectively with Project and Program Management regarding status and risk/issue management . Lead code and unit test reviews . Communicate effectively with QA team regarding expected outcomes and processes . Support QA team need for additional testing data where appropriate . Write scripts for code promotion *Assist Developers in the following duties: * . Performing defined code changes . Preparing unit test case documents . Executing unit test cases . Upgrading Data Transformation Services (DTS) packages to SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and writing/executing appropriate unit tests Skills . Leadership . Active communicator and team player . SQL Server 2000/2005 experience required, SQL 2008 experience a plus . SQL Server Integration Services or Data Transformation Services experience required . Java/.NET background a plus . ActiveX/VBScript knowledge a plus Keywords Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, at least five, typically seven or more years of SQL Server experience.
