Position: Data Modeler / Data Warehouse Consultant Location(State/city):North Carolina NC/RALEIGH
Duration: 6 months Req Details: MUST HAVES: -bachelor’s degree -5 years of recent Data Modeling experience - 3 years of data warehousing experience -2 to 3 years of architecture experience -2 years experience in healthcare industry Duties and Responsibilities · Reviews business and analytic requirements Interprets business requirements into logical data requirements · Interacts with the business regarding data issues, data relationships, and data sources · Communicates with mid-level business managers to confirm logical model based on data requirements Interprets business speak into IS speak Develops conceptual, logical and first cut physical models · Works with the data base analyst to complete a fully attributed physical model Models source data Analyzes data through screens, reports, and source extracts Generates source, physical and presentation layer DDLs · Performs mapping between source and third normal form layer (physical data integration layer) · Performs logical to physical mapping Creates and updates the data dictionary · Validates data dictionary content Captures business rules for logical to physical mapping in metadata Performs mapping from third normal form to dimensional (presentation layer) Documents specifications for views Creates SQL for views Promotes logical data models to production Promotes data dictionary to production · Participates in ISDS project specific architectural working groups Mentors Data Analysts, Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts in understanding data models Facilitates model review sessions · Provides input to existing Data Integration Modeling standards and guidelines · Reviews standards with Enterprise Architects (EA) and Solutions Architects Ensures that the logical enterprise information model (EIM) is updated with entity and attribute definitions Provides knowledge transfer to other data integration modelers and architects on staff (internal or external) Leads the timely resolution of data architectural issues and problems Is one of the key knowledge base experts of data integration modeling technical framework Signs-off on Data Integration Model peer reviewed documents Provides Data Integration Modeling estimates and refines as necessary throughout the system development life cycle Collaborates with ISDS Lead Information Architect and Metadata Architect in developing the overall data management/metadata/repository solution/process · Attends project meetings Accountable for Modeler related deliverables Provides project status Collaborates with other technical areas within ISDS and throughout IS as needed · Supports EDW/CDWs 24x7 operation by being on-call as needed for model related questions and issues Interfaces with Project Manager and ISDS management Participates in project risk assessments and issue management meetings · Handles escalated project issues Specialized Knowledge Good understanding of project management methodologies · Leadership Experience 1 year or more experience leading other data modelers in a successful full life-cycle enterprise data warehousing effort Proven leadership skills (the ability to motivate a group of people to achieve a common goal) · Experience in leading, instructing, directing, assigning and checking the work of others -- Thanks & Regards Kumar IT Staffing E-Mail: [email protected] URL: www.itstaffing.net -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
