This is sandi from gtechnologiesinc Position :Tech Analyst 3 - BUSINESS ANALYST Location: Houston Length: 1.2011 Rate: $52/hr POSNext program as part of Shell Oil Products - Lubricants division has an immediate requirement for an experienced Technical data/ business analyst familiar with data migration, data modeling and database architecture principles to assist in the data migration & conversion project. The candidate will perform analysis of data migration & conversion requirements for migrating from Legacy point of sale system to a new next-generation POS application. Data that would need to be migrated includes master data for customers, products, categories, and transactional data like service work orders, invoices, vehicle history, etc. Technical Skills and Experience: Experience should include: knowledge of data management and data architecture functions, including physical database design; data migration; experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, creating stored procedures, writing SSIS packages, performing complex queries; experience with data modeling; metadata management tools and processes Proficient in Extract-Transform-Load techniques using SQL Server Integration Service – SSIS, Beginner to Intermediate level proficiency desired. Data analysis, data cleansing & data mapping techniques & specifications experience is required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Microsoft Visio is required. Soft Skills and Experience: Possess strong business writing skills with the ability to produce requirements documentation, functional specifications, and business process analysis documents. Familiarity with Business process modeling notation- BPMN techniques is a plus.
