Test Engineer (Mechanical Devices) Location: Location - Warren, NJ / Menlo Park, CA Duration: 6 Months *SUMMARY:* Under supervision, receives general instructions about required tasks and results expected. Work is usually well defined and is checked for progress and reviewed for accuracy upon completion. * * *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.) · Performs assignments requiring application of standard engineering principles and statistical techniques · Designs and implements methods and/or procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the performance of products or production equipment. · Set up and use of equipment utilized by job function. (i.e., UTMs, force gages, microscope, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, etc.) · Design custom fixtures that may involve motorized elements, hydraulic or pneumatic circuits. · Prepares documentation for inspection/testing procedures. Assignments usually include one or more of the following: 1. Test Equipment design and development. 2. Testing of product. 3. Data analysis and Report preparation. · May be assisted by a draftsperson or technician. *EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE*: BS in Mechanical or related engineering/science discipline; and 4 – 6 years of related experience. *Experience in the medical device industry particularly endovascular/cardiovascular domain would be an asset.* *OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:* Must possess the good understanding of engineering fundamentals.
