Minimum requirements for this position include 5+ years of experience in the IT field with Unix environments; a BS or AS degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience); and advanced level knowledge of Unix environments and all aspects of the primary product, program and technologies. You must also have the ability to function independently with minimal oversight/direction and instruct, guide and mentor lower level technical professionals. Proven ability to interface with non-technical users. *Skills Required: Include but not limited to: Unix/AIX. Emphasis on IBM AIX 5.3 and 6.1 OS System and associated tools ( VG, LVM, netbackup tools). pSeries - Power5 and **Power6, LPARs, DLPAR, memory and processor pools. HACMP Clustering . AIX connectivity to IBM storage(EMC, Shark). NIM server setup and **configuration. VIO server and clients setup and configuration, virtual SCSI and ethernet, AIX virtualization tools..* Proficiency with UNIX kernels, Networking, Web, hardware configuration, support and maintenance, network protocols, system security, various commercial UNIX applications. Working knowledge of AIX/Solaris/Linux Operating environment, EMC and IBM Shark Storage Devices, Tape Drives, NIMMS, HACMP and related UNIX technologies.
