Candidate must have all the skills required for this position. Title: SharePoint Architect Location: Chicago, IL SharePoint Architect will be involved in various initiatives such as team sites, enterprise portals, content management, document management and document repositories. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010 and experience working with Enterprise Content Management and/or Document Management systems. Responsibilities * Your focus will be architecting, developing and testing mission critical enterprise solutions and implementation of custom application development using SharePoint and other related development tools. * Develop the firm*s road map as it relates to document repositories and team collaboration sites. * Evaluate strengths & weaknesses of other software products & tools in the similar market space to SharePoint/ECM/Document Management tools. * Work with the customer to understand requirements and make the appropriate technical and business recommendations * Develop technical specifications based on functional requirements * Perform tests according to a given test plan and documents results * Perform basic support and debugging in test and production environment * Maintain and repair existing applications Formal Education & Certification * Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field and/or 2 * 5 years equivalent work experience.
