Contributes on programming projects from requirements definition through implementation and support, following steps outlined in the Agile Scrum or other designated development methodology. 2. Interacts closely with the user community/key stakeholders to define requirements, translate requirements into technical specifications/design, and conducts design reviews with both user and technical personnel. 3. Develops time/cost estimates and deliverable dates for use in finalizing project plans. 4. Performs programming, testing, debugging, integration, installation, and support remediation tasks. 5. Reports plans and progress to development manager and department director. 6. Maintains strong knowledge of standard programming languages/platforms/technologies--most notably Java/J2EE, JSP, XML, XSL, XSD, HTML, and SQL, as well as database concepts, web services, AJAX, performance tuning, space utilization, and current technology concepts. 7. Other duties may be assigned. *Amount of Experience-based Knowledge and Skills. ** A minimum of 6 years programming experience * A minimum of 3 years experience with *portal technologies, web services, and authentication/authorization technologies is essential ** ** Good presentation and written communications required to effective present ideas and concepts to users/stakeholders/technical personnel. *Credentials, Licenses and Permits* None are required. Sun Java Certification and Certified Software Development Professional preferred. *Technology Skill Set. ** *Lotus Notes development experience is required.* * Liferay experience is strongly desired. * Command of *Java/J2EE*, XML, XSLT, XSD, HTML, SQL, AJAX, JQuery, Javascript is required. * Experience in MySQL, *SQL Server*, Oracle, Integration Technologies, LDAP, Portals, eCommerce, and Web Services is required. * Some Linux and/or Solaris OS system administration experience is preferred. * Some experience with CAS, JBOSS, JSON, Apache OfBiz/Axis/Lucene products, and Tomcat or Glassfish application servers is strongly desired.
