*Job Description/Responsibilities:* As a software quality assurance tester, you will participate with a team of others to complete quality assurance related activities, including analysis, test preparation and test execution activities for a web based application. Responsibilities include: · Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents to identify testing needs. · Develop solid test documentation, including the creation, maintenance and execution of Test Plans and Test Cases(manual and/or automated) · Support of conversion, system, interface, and user acceptance testing efforts · Maintain documentation of quality assurance activities in the appropriate project repositories, e.g., Mercury Quality Center or SharePoint. · Execution of test sets to validate the software is working as expected. · Exhibit knowledge of regression and performance monitoring automated testing tools (such as QTP and LoadRunner) · Analyze software problems, provide clear and concise defect reports and follow defect tracking practices based on internal QA standards and processes. · Communicate with both technical and non-technical project team members to support the analysis, design, testing, troubleshooting and mitigation of project issues and risk as necessary. · Provide regular status updates as necessary · Conduct all work in compliance with established PNC policies, methodologies, and standards *Requirements: Required Skills/Experience* · 5-7 years testing experience (manual and/or automated) · Experience in development of functional, non-functional, and regression test scripts for web based application (manual and automated) · Strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and best practices in regards to software testing · Proficiency in Back-End testing specifically with developing and executing SQL queries to interact with Databases. · Experience with Mercury Quality Center for defect tracking and test case execution is required · Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle · Superior analytical and reasoning skills · Detail oriented with a thorough and systematic approach to problem solving · Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills · Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment · A self starter who does not require full time supervision · Trustworthy, reliable, integrity, and willingness to be accountable · Extremely motivated to learn and create new and efficient processes · BS in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent is preferred *Nice to have:* · Knowledge of SOA, web services, Single Sign-On testing, tools, principles and disciplines · Familiarity with testing tools such as Mercury Quick Test Pro and LoadRunner · Financial services experience is a plus Thanks & Regards, Albert Connell || Sr.Technical Recruiter CAT Technology Inc.
