*****Immediately Needed A Consultant***** Weblogic Installer/ Admin (do NOT send Developers!!!) Location: Rochester, NY Duration: 6+Months Contract Tasks to be performed: Derive Server requirements and architecture Install and Configure Weblogic Develop Server QA Server 2 Production Servers Migrate the existing Development repository to the new Dev Server Implement Admin Enable monitoring/audit back up and recovery guidelines and best practices Scripts/design and develop workflow and mappings Establish connectivity to a number of source systems Conduct overall unit testing Provide documentation and admin tasks Conduct Knowledge transfer. Performance tuning and capacity planning. Security and certificate management (SSL) An overall understanding of multi-tier web architecture with strong knowledge of J2EE technology, web services, and BEA platform Work with large scale application deployment involving multiple clusters. Experience with solutions for load balancing, caching and accelerators Programming experience in client/server technologies and/or Web technologies. Good oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work both as an individual contributor and in a team environment. Provide 24x7 enterprise support role for WebLogic 8.1, 9.2, and 10gR3 Server, Integration and Portal, with substantial knowledge and experience to include deployments, tuning, maintenance, capacity planning, and upgrades. Develop and maintain configuration manuals, procedure manuals and standards for WebLogic Operations. Partner with IT and non-IT UNIX server support organizations for the development of a unified set of standards including all appropriate configuration manuals. Work closely with peers, enterprise architect, strategic planning, software developers, database administrators, and various client departments to ensure efficient integration and operation of hardware, software and various internally and externally developed applications. Build and maintain solid working relationships by working cooperatively with team members, and other groups / organizations as appropriate. Participate in various (ongoing) projects associated with pge.com and other Internet related initiatives. Coordinate and/or participate in various network activities, including support on existing infrastructure, on-call responsibilities, clearances, service level agreements, and support documentation and process development as required. Provide clear, consistent and timely communication regarding all job responsibilities including project updates, proposals, operational issues, etc. Develop change management processes to ensure that all products are tested and certified in a consistent manner. This may include requests that are outside of current standard. Provide regular communication and documentation on current standards and product life cycle information. Evaluate current documentation process and adapt changes as necessary. This includes reviewing, creating and updating Configuration Manuals, white papers, and researching and recommending best practices.
