Rate: $DOE/hr Seeking a solid Business Analyst (in the Management Consultant context, not an IT “requirements” type) that can come in and help with process, perform various financial analysis, maintain project budgets and financials and facilitate / present to different levels of the organization – a Technology “Business Office” team member with strong finance/budget background. A key on the process side would be someone who understood/has used Six Sigma SIPOC technique. JOB INFORMATION Responsible for supporting the core functions of the Servicing and Credit Loss Management Business Office, including finance, resource management, metrics, and reporting. Under limited supervision, this individual is expected to use his or her knowledge of administrative and financial principles, concepts, practices and standards to compile and analyze data; perform financial and management reporting; develop models and tools; and coordinate with other parts of the organizations such as Finance, HR, Facilities and IT. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS •Compile budget data considering actual performance, previous expenditures, and estimated expenses. Review, monitor and analyze expenditures and explain variances. Perform cyclical budgeting activities as required by Accounting •Develop analyses or reports for use by the business unit or project team or for communicating to management, clients, support offices. •Assess conformity of development process to accepted methodology and communicate to responsible managers or staff. Document exceptions or deviations as needed. Convene meetings and plan agenda to ensure important issues are aired and resolved. •Report on progress of project, use of staff, $ expenditures, progress on milestones and the like to application owners. •Provide guidance to appropriate project staff; may provide technical input, and input to their managers regarding performance and technical skills. EDUCATION •Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent required MINIMUM EXPERIENCE •2 years of related experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Required: •Work experience in finance, program management, and/or business consulting •Understanding of IT budgeting, forecasting and allocation processes •Experience with financial/management reporting for IT organizations •Knowledge of portfolio, pipeline, and resource management industry best practices •Ability to work independently on multiple concurrent tasks in a highly dynamic environment •Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills •Attention to detail •Ability to work both independently and as a contributing team member •Effective interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills •Expertise in Microsoft Excel, particularly to build budgets and financial models •Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint and Visio •Understanding of the operational aspects of Microsoft SharePoint Nice to have: •Proficiency with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Hyperion Essbase, PeopleSoft, and/or Microsoft SharePoint •Project management skills - ability to multi-task and prioritize activities and deadlines •Process improvement experience such as Six Sigma Thanks & Regards sandi Recruiter G Technologies Inc. 4340 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, CA 95129.
