The job description is below:
*The Application Developer-
Will work in our Herndon site, responsible for data-related development
activities in support of our CLM Accounting group. The group will be tasked
to convert a large number of business-supported, desktop applications to a
technology-supported, data-centric application architecture. The application
developer will be responsible to ascertain business needs, analyze existing
end-user-developed applications, design new solutions, code new solutions,
support testing and implementation. To support the rapid development needs,
a set of design patterns (include code and document templates) will be used.
Additional work may be required to create new design patterns and templates
based on new business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Quickly elicit or review business requirements and use cases and provide
feedback to management and/or business analysts
-Analyze / reverse engineer end-user developed applications
-Design, develop, and document application functionality
-Implement solutions, adhering to SDLC controls and process
Candidate Requirements -
Must-Have Skills:
Demonstrated ability to independently research, troubleshoot and resolve
complex issues
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, utilities, programming
languages
4+ years of experience designing and developing ETL processes using Ab
Initio.
4+ years of experience in Unix shell scripting (Ksh, Csh).
4+ years of experience in Oracle 10G SQL and PL/SQL.
3+ years of experience working with Business Objects XI.
2+ years of experience working with AutoSys.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Nice to Have Skills:
Microsoft Access / Excel VBA programming
Sharepoint
J2EE and related technologies / tools, including Weblogic, JBoss, and
Eclipse*
