Job Title: Oracle DBA Location: Rosemead, CA Duration: 3-6 Months Contract *Pay Rate: $45/Hr all Inc.* *Responsibilities/Duties: *Oracle applications including both COTS packages and custom developed applications. The current primary vendor for ESC applications is ITRON. *DBA functions including:* needs/requirements analysis performance troubleshooting and tuning database space management analyzing logs and system messages migration of changes to system test and production environments ensuring automated monitoring of database health is in place and working as expected database design database creation (DDL) capacity planning database maintenance frequent refreshing of database structure and data to prep test environments documentation of key procedures and knowledge for other team members archive/purge data UNIX scripting testing in support of database patches and upgrades from vendor Production system maintenance/support including: 24x7 on-call duties responding appropriately to automated alerts responding appropriately to requests from other teams assisting other team members as needed Pro-active maintenance to avoid issues later *Very strong knowledge and skills in:* Oracle - versions 10, 11g (ORACLE certification for ORACLE 10g or 11g shall be required for contractors) Deep skills & experience for performance tuning including SQL turning, ORACLE system resource tuning System DBA functions including strong understanding of ORACLE set up to help with performance tuning effort. strong OEM knowledge Thanks for your time and Consideration, Best Regards, *Raj Nakka* SYSTEL Inc.
