Title: NAS Administrator Location: Wauwatosa, WI Duration: 6 Months Rate: $50/hr NAS Administrator Hours of Operation: Primarily First Shift; Off-hours as needed. Job Description: Design, implement, and administer Global NAS storage solutions across multiple heterogeneous environments in enterprise data centers. Interface with the server technology groups and design leads to help translate business requirements and technology standards to workable designs and solutions. Job Responsibilities: Develop and implement hardware and software solutions that enhance or extend the enterprise NAS infrastructures based on design requirements. Help to develop and maintain the release schedule ensuring that all hardware and software in the NAS infrastructures are on current versions and patch levels. Participate in evaluating emerging technologies in the areas of networked access storage, storage subsystems and the associated strategic roadmap, ensuring that current and planned technical solutions are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives. Assist in the migration and swap-out of expiring Network Appliance NAS hardware. Perform technical troubleshooting to solve complex technical problems. Document all solutions to assist with future troubleshooting. Performance of other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Manager of Technical Architecture. Required Skills: BS Degree or equivalent years of experience. Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems (Windows 2Kx) Experience with Network Attached Storage (Network Appliance preferred) Experience with Unix Operating Systems (Solaris Linux) Solid understanding of NFS & CIFS protocols and security Familiarity with Network Appliance Operating Systems (7.x) Familiarity with NAS Administration Tools (ex. Operations Manager, FilerView) Strong organization and communication skills Desired: DFS implementation and/or support experience Scripting experience (Vbscript preferred, Perl helpful) Virtualization tool experience (ex.
