Oracle/ Unix Administrator Location: Alexandria, VA Length: 12 months Overview: Client is looking to provide maintenance and production support oracle based applications. The client requires programming and analysis support services to maintain and support the version of these Automated Information Systems in a Oracle 10g, 11g, and PL/SQL in Windows and Linux/Unix environments. Requirements: 1. Must have 2+ yrs analyzing and resolving production issues in a time-critical environment, including identification of root cause, recommendation of one or more fixes, and implementation of the selected fix. 2. Must have Unix shell scripting & Oracle database administration (e.g., export/import, backups, and troubleshooting), and use of database tools like Toad, SQL Developer. 3. Must have development experience in one or more of the following: a. Perl, Java, ASP, Visual C/C++, HTML, JavaScript or Oracle Forms/Reports is highly desirable 4. Highly desired - experience with one or more of the following: a. Adobe FrameMaker, b. Adobe Flex, c. Adobe Acrobat/PDF customization, 5. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 6. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator 7. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
