I have a 4 week project with my client in Livingston New Jersey. Below are the requirements. Please let me know if you or someone you know might be interested. A. SCOPE OF ENGAGEMENT * * A primary goal of this assessment is to ensure optimum performance and scalability of the shared WebLogic / AquaLogic application infrastructure. The primary business functions supported by this infrastructure are currently the Customer Self Service and Vendor Self Service portal applications. Going forward, the Client expects to leverage the infrastructure for additional services in the future. In support of these goals, the following tasks will be performed. *Tasks:* 1. Create Application Profiles (34 hours) *Tasks* *Estimated Effort* · Define and document application profiles based on resource utilization and performance characteristics 12 hours · Classify existing applications and expected applications according to profile characteristics 8 hours · Identify optimal tuning parameters and configuration settings for each representative application profile 12 hours · Review analysis and findings with client 2 hours 2. Assess Available Capacity (38 hours) *Tasks* *Estimated Effort* · Review current WebLogic and AquaLogic application server infrastructure utilization 4 hours · Review projected utilization based on interviews with application development teams for existing Customer Self Service and Vendor Self Service applications 8 hours · Estimate available capacity for hosting new applications on the current shared infrastructure environment 12 hours · Identify capacity thresholds (trigger points) at which point capacity should be expanded based upon application profile analysis 12 hours · Review analysis and findings with client 2 hours 3. Define Scalability Plan (46 hours) *Tasks* *Estimated Effort* · Identify scalability options for the existing shared environment going forward 8 hours · Identify and document optimal physical memory and potential server virtualization configurations to support near-term capacity needs in the existing environment 12 hours · Identify and document the benefits and trade-offs of potential target Operating System alternatives for the future-state environment considering Linux and UNIX alternatives 12 hours · Document optimal (recommended) target operating system for the future-state environment based on benefits analysis 12 hours · Review analysis and findings with client 2 hours 4.
