*Description* We are seeking a strong Oracle and SQL Server professional for a hands-on, technical role. The ideal candidate will be familiar with architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup & recovery, monitoring, and database and query tuning. Oracle 10g and SQL Server 2005 experience required. *Skills / Requirements* 5+ years of experience working with Oracle database systems in the UNIX /LINUX operating system. 2+ years of experience with SQL Server 2005 is required. 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team of or more technical associates 4 year degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent experience). Oracle 10g/9i and SQL Server 2005 experience required Experience with database monitoring tools Dimensional data modeling experience required OLTP Systems experience required- Strongly prefer experience with datawarehousing Oracle Streams preferred RMAN Experience with clustered environments preferred Partitioning - PL/SQL Good performance and tuning skill set Shell scripting Oracle support in .Net environment preferred ETL experience preferred Candidate must have good analytical, verbal and written skills. *Duties & Responsibilities* Scoping out projects and recommending infrastructure; Full life cycle support of client's database(s); Database backups, recoveries, patches, and upgrade; Work with developers to design and build new structures/databases to support future enhancements to the applications; Implement database changes as part of software releases; Monitor databases to ensure high availability and optimum performance; Write scripts to automate processes; Document existing database and maintain documentation set with each subsequent change.
