*Role Title: Business Analyst/Facilitator (role is for Herndon, VA) *

*Reports To: Enterprise Project Delivery Manager *

*Purpose of Role/Organizational Unit: *

The Business Analyst must have strong facilitation techniques and is
responsible for preparing requirements, specifications, business processes,
and recommendations in compliance with Client standards, policies and
methodologies.

* *

*Functions Performed: *

The following functions are the responsibility of the Business Analyst. This
individual may be asked to perform these functions or work together with the
team of Project Factory personnel to coordinate the completion of Business
Analyst activities. Ultimately, responsibility for ensuring that the
functions are performed rests with the Business Analyst.

* *

*Position Responsibilities *

Identify project goals and define related objectives

Facilitate requirements gathering in large groups

Gather and synthesize functional and non-functional business requirements
ensuring alignment to business strategy



Execute gap analyses between business requirements and best practices

Develop business cases, process and business test strategy, case, and
execution

Identify opportunities for business transformation/change management

Understand and follow VWGoA’s standard development methodology “SEP”

Ability to conduct interviews with management, team leads or subject matter
experts in a professional and efficient manner, via in person, telephone or
email correspondence

Ability to translate and document well defined requirements after
interviews, meetings, or workshops

Update documentation for team as needed

Provide project management support including charter and schedule
development



*Skills Required: *

·         7-10 years experience in Information Technology

·         Excellent communication and facilitation techniques

·         Experience with the systems development lifecycle, including
definition, design, testing, and roll-out

·         Experience working with senior leadership

·         Demonstrated ability to work in a high-intensity, multi-project
environment

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (technical and
non-technical)

·         Extremely “Detail-Oriented” individual with the ability to
multi-task

·         Ability to work autonomously towards a goal

·          Strong verbal and written communications skills

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills



*Unique Competencies: *

·         Capable of performing tasks in dynamic/changing circumstances

·         Strong “customer-focused” individual with a passion for responding
to the needs of customers

·         Working knowledge of the following software applications:
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Outlook



*Educational Requirements: *

Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT.
