Position: Backup Engineer (L3)** Location: Wilson, NC ** Duration: 6 Months +** Key Accountabilities Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain Backup infrastructures and work with vendors to resolve hardware / software issues of all Backup infrastructures in heterogeneous environment. Diligently follow implementation process, procedure, and standards of the Customer's Backup & Storage Team. Assist in technical escalations from customer & internal support segments relating to Backup solutions. Worked on implementation level infrastructure tasks and tickets. Take rotation in weekend on-call for US support Key Performance Indicators ** Increased Stability of Customer Backup/ Recovery implementations Implementation reviews with senior Backup Administrators Weekly ticket reviews All jobs/maintenances successfully planned, proposed, executed, and followed up *MAIN CONTACTS* (external/internal): Team members/managers (daily) Account managers/support techs (frequently) Customers (occasionally) PERSON SPECIFICATION: Technical** * * At least 5-8 years experience in managing enterprise level Backup solutions At least 5 years of experience in Backup Administration At least 3+ years of EMC Legato Networker 7.X At least 3+ years of EMC Avamar backup, recovery and data deduplication administration Strong experience in Enterprise Tape libraries/ FalconStor backup product knowledge an asset. Exposure to RDBMS backup concepts and application backups and recovery will be a plus.
