*Job Description:*
1. Provide a defining, senior level contribution to development team
responsible for the implementation of critical SOA web-based applications
using the .Net Framework and SQL Server technologies
2. Collaborate with business stakeholders and team members to define &
analyze requirements
3. Analyze, design, and develop code for all application tiers, as needed
4. Prepare technical designs, perform code reviews, debugging and testing
5. Define integration approaches to extend existing systems to work with
an ESB Framework
6. Work in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance
& technical guidance to fellow team members
7. Accountability for the technical components of the design and
successful operation of the ESB solution within DOE
8. Document standards and procedures for the definition of reference
architectures
9. Provide inputs in architecting, designing, and implementing a Service
Oriented Architecture (SOA) for the application development group
10. Responsible for the delivery of architecture artifacts that will
demonstrate the projects adherence to strategy, design patterns, and best
practices
11. Provide detailed guidance and direction for design and implementation
of development frameworks and design patterns for consumption across
multiple development teams
12. Create, communicate and improve the governing principles, standards
and models that detail DOE technical landscapes by reconciling various
stakeholder requirements
*Qualification Requirements:*
1. Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of applicable work experience with
at least 5+ years of experience as an Architect, Sr. Developer or Technical
Team Lead with the Microsoft *.NET Architecture *framework, including *
ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET*
2. 5+ years of experience with Object Oriented Design and Analysis,
application design patterns.
3. 3+ years of experience with web services, WSDL, Simple Object
Access Protocol (SOAP), XML, XSD, AJAX
4. 5+ years of experience with MS SQL server, leveraging SQL 2005
features in developing optimized Database code
5. Experience with .NET 3.0+ technologies including WCF, WPF, and WF,
SharePoint 2007 development and SQL Server 2005/SSIS is a strong plus
6. Experience leveraging open source development tools (such as
Subversion, NUnit, CruiseControl.Net, NCover, MSBuild, NAnt, FxCop) a plus
7. Extensive experience with design patterns, system architectural
concepts and frameworks
8. Technical expertise in high performance website systems, web
services, in a .Net/IIS environment, and performance tuning/scaling of such
systems
9. Extensive experience designing and/or developing solutions for a
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
10. Strong communication skills, in both technical and business terms
11. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to
detail
12. High level of flexibility and ability to persevere through periods of
significant change and challenge in the business environment**
13. Any Microsoft or similar developer certifications will be a plus
