Position: AIX Administrator (2) Location: San Bruno, CA or Cary, NC – *REMOTE WORK 50% of time also* Length: 3-6 month w/option for additional time Start Date: ASAP Rate: $40.00 - All plus expenses (when traveling) Will be required to provide Visa Documents (if Necessary), Passport (if Necessary), and background check & drug screen. Overview: The AIX administrator will be responsible for installing, tuning and optimizing & supporting, and UNIX server systems, network connections in support of business processing requirements .This position will require the ability to install, migrate & consolidate enterprise server environments including cross tower dependencies and analysis with storage, application migration, platform consolidation, server refresh, capacity management, and resiliency, etc. Job Requirements 1. Must have 3-5 yrs AIX Server administration exp .including extensive experience in AIX systems design, documentation, implementation, monitoring, and support including: a. Evaluate and integrate new operating system versions, drivers and hardware. b. Tests software updates and patches. c. Monitor, Optimize & tune the system to achieve performance levels in standalone and multi-tiered environments. d. Conducts system analysis, configuration management and develops improvements for system software performance, availability and reliability. e. Ensure server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. f. Prescribes system backup / disaster recovery procedures and directs recovery operations in the event of destruction of all or part of the operating system or other system components. Implements appropriate levels of system security. 2. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 3. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator (sales oriented in approach). 4.
